Turns out my USB port wasn't liking the fact the e-mu is powered externally, I've run it through a USB hub now and it all works absolutely fine. The company claims that it can recover lost files from damaged disks or newly formatted drives, but your mileage may vary. assuming that is not your problem it could still be the odd dip in the PSU that is too rare to catch or some other very difficult to pin down fluctuation.On i passed antivirus and tested some of the HD and not have bad sectors, when i tested with hd recovery only gave me a lot of "delays".
