I mainly run the 8600GT for the case I am running, since the case uses Nvidia software to control the color changing LED's. Yes, the current consoles have 8 gig of ram, but in any realistic situation, they only have access to between 4 and 5 gig of it, and that has to act I have my HD6950 running my bigger monitor and my 8600GT running the other one. And my setup should easily support two :( In my opinion most games run fine @4K and if they don't, they don't support crossfire anyway :( So I returned it . Source

Multi-screen gaming support is pretty atrocious all round to be honest. Unless you game is AAA from a big developer, there is no way it will work properly with a multi-gpu setup.
