This especially true in external drives TB and up. Such problems can be tricky to fix. It was working fine for a couple of days but one day I rebooted and couldn't find it anymore!

However, none of this seems germane to my problem. Previously the motherboard of the PC was ASUS p4S133 having some power problems but worked for 6 years with that problems and finally has bean dead after 15 years working , But if you can do that, a good HDD will just show up like any other installed HDD. Even if it doesn’t appear in your Computer window because it doesn’t contain any partitions, it should show up here.
