For a Dimension 9150 that would require trying to build a non-Dell motherboard into the casing. I forgot there were 2 types of Prescotts. Your hopes of getting anything recent within the last couple years (read: newest dual core or quad core) are out of the picture. I got a 9600GT vid card and an extra 2GB of ram, a new 550W PSU (Corsair VX series works with the new ones) and I couldn't be happier.

Pentium D doesn't support Hyper-Threading. Again I have the same P4 3.2E (Prescott) it is a Socket478 and the Core Duo, Core2duo and Quad core are LGA775.
