The whole lot is upgradeable, the case is as quiet as a mouse and I got it assembled, O/S loaded & tested by the computer shop for a lot less $$s Read these two guides, they might help boost some performance for a while. 1. Upgrading RAM is the only experience I have with computer hardware. Dell use a lot of non-standard parts which keeps their costs down but which makes upgrading difficult. lol. cant get a decent PC for $120 bucks.
