Cpu Fan Won't Turn On
You're absolutely right, it's shutting down to prevent serious heat damage. Could there be something wrong with my motherboard not sending electricity to the cooler or is the coolers motor fried or some other possibility?Could I have already damaged my CPU by Thanks. Heck, I could load the computer and play games!
On a slightly unrelated note, my system has a different problem, whereby the video doesn't initialize at all 2 boots out of 3. The temperature in the CPU can rise very quickly - just a couple of minutes - to the cooking point. Won't turn on... If MoBo still under warranty, might wanna RMA it. In this case you'll want to plug the CPU fan in somewhere else on the mainboard or get an adapter to run from the power supply to the CPU fan. I can't seem to find another CPU FAN header...
