CPU Fan Running At 850rpm.
I think that maybe the optional fans, which are meant to change speed depending on temperature, are just permanently stuck on their highest setting. I have actually never had Q-Fan control on but I have also turned it on and tried the silent normal and performance settings with no change rebooting with each. Thought it was motherboard, happened once before and I had motherboard replaced. No more Cortana. get redirected here
It is a 4pin, has always been plugged into the CPU_FAN on the mobo and is still on PWM. (have tried it on DC just to prove it didn't fix it). so..... Did a system restore and it now seems fine. except the mobo which didnt work so I got a replacement for that at pc world. I Opened up that "Open File Location" and found the two files (actually folders) that Start with.... "Microsoft.Windows.Cortana" and I opened the first folder, Took Ownership of it and deleted it.
