I removed my memory cards but heard no beeping sounds, so it could be the processor or the motherboard. cleaned the terminals - still nothing tried the touch test on the processor - get HOT!!! I switched my video card with one from another desktop and it didn't change anything. useful reference

If I take off the heatsink + fan and turn the computer on for about 5 seconds then feel the processor it is still cold to the touch. You might want to seek a professional data recovery service to restore your files.
