When I had the cable, it was hooked up to the lap top, and I didn't bother connectiong the PC on it, but then I decided to get DSL, because I I reason I suggest this is just to see if Windows is the issue or the hardware it self. It will then continue to restart each time windows starts to load. useful reference I thought maybe the network card was bad, tried another one and the same thing is happening. Btw thanks for the help. That includes bios boot from LAN etc.

Guess the motherboard is going on it. Yes, I know, you said it's been fine until now. When I bought my computer, the only thing I transferred from my old computer to the new one was the PCI card, and that card is around 9 years old now get redirected here Other computers maintained their network connections fine but mine insisted a "network cable was unplugged" when it wasn't.
Lol that it is. If I connect the m460 to it's original switch on any other port it will experience the same problem. Have you tried plugging everything associated with this setup into:a: A different powerstrip?b: A different wall outlet?4. CMOS jumper re-set etc.
