What kind of FW800 PCIe card are you using? But my old steinberg-interface (MR816 csx) was on the firewire 400 bus too... The previous card I used (Syba one) was flaky and would not keep a constant FW800 speed which caused issues with the Apollo (really need a steady FW800 speed for optimum Anyway, there were no problems with USB, but when I hook the Drobo up with FireWire it blue screens.

There were no "legacy" driver in my setup. I also see no firewire port, so what model FW card do you have? Could you try a couple of things and let us know the results?
Having said that, I suspect a few things already; #1-you may have in incompatible firewire controller #2-you only listed a single hard drive(Pro Tools needs a separate drive for sessions) #3-"Dual-Channel

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, and the second gen Drobo I'm trying to hook up has 4x2TB drives in it. If it has a sempron cpu, that's also unsupported. How does this make you feel? I will try uninstalling and re-installing.
