I thought with the Cat and Omega drivers ATI had supposedly gotten their shit together? What gives! +61 JosiahBradley NO NO NO! That's not always true. So I uninstalled the new stuff and reinstalled either the driver from the cd or just some older ones off ati's site (i don't remember which) and everything worked again.

Half-Life 2 played just fine on a 5900 Ultra, but it doesn't come with half-life 2. and the slight lag could be due to hitching of the harddrive (not enoguh system memory) when do oyu plan to buy some new hardware?

The 9200 really is a pretty sharp performer for people who don't want to spend a fortune, and it can be had for under $50. The performance if you turn on full shadows and AA is abysmal.

Onboard sound apparently screws ATI cards up. I have been thinking about buying a 9600XT. A 17" is 17 inches not 16 like in CRT's so I only lost an inch when I downgraded from my 19". Do the latest Radeon drivers work ok with Neverwinter Nights ?
