I put my old GF3 Ti500 back in my computer and it works GREAT. cant remember the exact post. You need to make sure you remove the old drivers properly before putting on the new ones. Yes, a weak power supply can cause all kinds of problems with a computer from having a negative effect upon a video card to causing shut downs. after installation the problems disappeared. blender 2.23 [no, not a typo] somehow didn't have the "ati slowdown" bug, and blender 2.34 doesn't have the ati slowdown bug because it uses glflush instead of glfinnish [glfinnish should I tried to change to another radeon, but it wasn't any better, so I just changed my card to an Nvidia 5700 and it works perfectly now.

Does anyone else have this problem? Everything works fine in blender, no slow downs, etc until I render something. The Radeon works fine on another computer.
I've tried the 4X thing, no difference.
Some times i play 10 minutes, some times 20, but every time it stops. It would help if you listed the other components se we could see your total load, but I seriously doubt regardless of what you have that a supply like that would I know that, that is not the best as you are removing the full potential of the card/system but hey it works and I still get 140+ FPS on Counter Strike:Source Its a new pc and it does not need derfagging, everything is installe don the same disk as I have only one disk!
