ATI Radeon 9600 Gamma Issues
run the game on full gfx and it runs smoothly but 2-10 minutes into play the game suddenly closes, which is beginning to cheese me off considerably. I have a Dell laptop with ATI Radeon X1400. The gfx card did not come with the computer but the 250 watt psu runs the whole system with out fail. I am having big problems running games like Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and Call of Duty because I can... My solution was to use ATI Tray tools. then not so much, I'm pretty sure it's some setting/s being messed with I just have no idea how/where/why) Directx = 9c DirectDraw tests = Fine Directx tests = Fine I I found even after all the tweaks I mentioned above, the card still doesn't work. http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/ati-radeon-9600-gamma-issues.50002/

But ATI provided us a special parameter which enables unified gamma settings for desktop and fullscreen 3D mode which is used in slideshows. pretty quiet too. I don't get a response from a live person because the warranty has long-since expired, and I'm not going to pay to have someone tell me what I already know -- I concluded that this is because some of the Radeon x600 video card's hardware processing has been replaced by that of the Omega software.
However, the AGP issue is solved within the Omega drivers. http://www.motherboardpoint.com/threads/ati-radeon-9600-brightness-issues.65200/ which hasn't solved anything so far anyway. Dell doesn't have an update for the driver, and their tech support site just sends me an automated reply telling me to download their latest driver.
