Got it on E-bay from a reputable vendor. those same shaders can run on 2.0 hardware, slower maybe, but it can run. Went into display properties, settings, troubleshoot and changed hardware acceleration to less than half (Disable all direct draw and direct 3d accelerations) and now it works, any ideas why and what I did & they were right, it didn't work.

If you want to play the latest games with the latest features you need the latest video card. I am sure it isa great way to go but I don't have time for it myself. It is very apparent that you have something against Nvidia. I've decided to return the card as it may well be defective.

I'd say the real beef is with ATI for deciding to not support SM3 on its cards. This might be why but I don't no because on your screenshot your not running many programs. I hope the TR Radeon community will join hands to give this issue the exposure it deserves. The point I'm trying to emphasize here is that I(and other SM 2.0 capable ATI 3D card owners) could have seen shader based water in Pitfall and (possibly) Splinter Cell: Chaos
