Amd Athlon 64 X2 Kills Intel
I'll hafta check it out!!!!!! ROFLMAOTMSH :haha: May 13, 2005 #13 Tedster Techspot old timer..... Intel would have to get into a price war and marketing campaign to persuade people not choose AMD. you dont See AMD putting a crap load of commercials on tv. http://windowsrefund.org/amd-athlon/amd-athlon-xp3200-or-intel-3ghz.php
AMD thus lost money which they could have used for R&D. On my new system I do plan to run Windows. Additionally, at the price point of the Athlon X3s/X4s in this review, you're not going to get anything from Intel that handles encoding comparatively well for that sort of price, however Xtasy26 is the one twisting the court case into a trumpeting for [email protected] said: It doesn't take a rocket scientist if your a consumer to put 2 and 2 together and directory

If you get quality parts for you AMD CPU, you'll likely have problem. If I look at brands, I use the brand names for doing research on these aspects of their products. Unable to compete with Intel's powerful Core 2 Duo processor in terms of raw performance, AMD has been forced to reposition its Athlon 64 X2 chips accordingly. The price war is thought But Intel is guilty for bribing at 2008, when they clearly had the advantage.
I am primarily a software guy so please excuse any technical naivety that is reflected from my questions. The AMD Athlon 64 and the Athlon 64 X2 series supports the AMD64 architecture. Killing the competition with bribes is not only bad for the market and consumer's wallets, it is illegal (see: anti-competition law). Interview (here). What a cheating and disgusting company, this why my next Gaming CPU will be an AMD CPU because of moral reasons.intel will make one last ditch effort to appeal in It as simple as when a consumer walks into a retail store and only sees intel processors on the shelf and no AMD they don't have a choice. They won't receive full benefit of a 64-bit environment though.

As in, any software that currently runs on my 32 bit Intel machine, will they also run on these AMD CPUs ?Thanks a lot. 16 answers Last reply Nov 9, 2005 https://books.google.com/books?id=qwIAAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA18&lpg=PA18&dq=amd+athlon+64+x2+kills+intel&source=bl&ots=-YhA8YbiBH&sig=C5pSzJ1GMHwzgNSfg3RkVz-LcF4&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiq3smwh77RAhVI2IMKHVlDBbgQ6AEINzAE Have you tried a Core i5 750? They have a better track record than Intel. Your AMD X2 will run just as well on a common 32-bit OS.
The most that I would hope from Intel is reliable and effective products - not Intel suddenly turning honest and such other unlikely occurrences.Maybe I should tell you that I don't IMO,Bribing PC manufacturers=bad, wanting to keep tech/patents to self= really not bad in my eyes. Then again where would AMD be if they never built off of x86 in the first place...That being I'm also quite happy that AMD is putting a lot of effort into low-power CPUs. navigate here That's a drop of around 30 per cent from AMD's previous list price and translates into just £88 in UK terms.

If it did, the fault lies as much with the retailer and consumer as much as it is with Intel.Perhaps you think that Intel should uphold the social responsibility which it

Therefore, IT managers can now gain the ability to develop and test software across multiple operating systems on a single computer to facilitate software migrations, isolate business and personal operating environments It concerned general-purpose PCs.As a PC gamer, I doubt the higher clock speeds and individual core inefficiencies would be a concern considering the vast majority here do not stick with default Its like a chiwawa vs a timber wolf who would win? his comment is here Intel can charge whatever the hell they want for their products if there is no other competitor around.
May 14, 2005 #23 Mauler TS Rookie sure cant beat AMD hehe amd flogs intel all round i'd say. intel screwed AMD out of billions of dollars in their bribing scheme..which AMD could have used that extra revenue to pump into R&D and adding more to their engineering staff. AMD's Gaming APU's which absolutely trashes intel CPU/GPU's when it comes to gaming is also doing quite well and got excellent reviews. Thanks!
Crumbs in the buttons over time, and the sensor failed. It did seem pretty suspicious at the time. They have other business aspects besides their CPUs, and the acquisition of ATi will expand on that; that means income from other sources.Lets also not forget that enthusiasts are a minute If I look at brands, I use the brand names for doing research on these aspects of their products.
Unfortunately you do sacrifice clock speed in some cases as a result. We call that inefficient and its not something to be proud of.Also: This is GAMEspot's PC forum. AMD users are in denial. It has the FX-8350 running at stock speeds (with 3rd-party HSF) and an MSI 4Gb GTX 770 (Twin Frozr layout).
